Road kill

I live in Michigan and I had a guy bring me an Armadillo. Apparently he found it on the road while returning home from the sevice. My question is can I legally do this critter? I have no hunting license number so on and so forth to tag the critter. Having this in my freezer is making me nervous.

you could always call the dnr and tell them you know someone that has one in his freezer and your wondering if you can take it in. i think you can do it since it is not native to michigan.

Yes you can

Yes you can have it. The state of MI considers it a non-native species. You therefore don't even need to tag it. Just the same as a ram, mule deer, etc. You might want to tag it with as much information from the customer as you can. But you should be good to go. If in doubt, check it with the DNR.
