I have a lifesize Mountain Goat to mount for myuself. The hide has been tanned by The Wildlife Gallery and looks to be in excellent shape. Unfortunately, I was unable to measure the goat when I shot it and am wondering if I should soak up the hide before I measure it and the best way to do that? Also, can anyone recommend a good supply store to purchase the lifesize form? I normally do fish mounts and am not real familiar with lifesize mounts. Any help would be appreciated!

Call the tannery and ask them how they recommend rehydrating their products. Some tanneries are different, but it probably is in water maybe with a little salt, soak 20 minutes wring out, bag, put in refrigerater over night. Stretch lenthwise, then widthwise. Take measurments. Take care with Mtn. Goat as they will get dirty easily while you are doing this and in the mounting proccess.
