What is the preferred method for skinning out the feet. I have been told to cut down the center of the pad and also to go around it to the webing.

always go around the pad, if pads are sean , easier to hide. easier to sow

I used to subscribe to Laurier's way, but realistically, why? The pad can be shaved off easier by doing two halves. USUALLY the pads are on the floor anyway and when I mount them, I staple them shut just like on a bass. Black Apoxie covers the pad and the incision and pressing the Apoxie with a terrycloth towel does a perfect job of covering your repairs.

I have to agree ...

with George.I do a lot of feet this way, especially bears.Even laying down cats can be done this way and finished very efficiently.

Thank you. I have not skinned a lot of wolves, but it seems easier for me to cut down the middle.
