STRETCHING FOX SKINS

When stretching a fox on a stretching board, how do you handle the front legs? Also, when air-drying the skin, you are supposed to turn the fur side outward before the skin is completely dry. Is that only for selling the hide? In the tanning process, do you want the skin side out or the fur side out? Do you use a tanning solution that you soak the skin in or do you use a paste tan?

well if your going to sell it keep the fur out and the legs and paws on.for stretching them open them up on the back and pin them like you do the hide on the stretcher using small stetcher cut for them and the tail to.salt them and then scrape off after 24 hour and apply neww salt and then turn in a few hours.if your going to tan it just leave it turn hide out. you can use either the paste or the wet tans. either will do if your new try using one of bruce Rittels product as they are simple and give you an exellent turn out.
