Hair Loss Question

This isn't addressed in the archives.

How easy should it be to remove the hair from a deer? Pulling on it with the fingers.

I ask because it seems awfully easy in spots, like slip almost, and in other spots, I have to fight it.

The hair always comes completely out. No breakage and no hair roots left in skin. In some places, little tiny bits of epidermis can be found on the hair roots. The skin underneath these spots is a healthy color.

The skin hasn't had any treatments of any type, it is fresh, it has no smell, and I'm kind of wondering if it were to have been tanned, if it was a bum pelt / iffy skin to begin with. Should I go through the expense of having it tanned hair-on?
