Can anyone give me assistance on my first showshoe rabbit i tanned?I pickled with safety acid for 3 days and tanned it with the new McKenzie tan. After observing the fur it has appeared to have lost its white color. Maybe I am just worrying before the end results. Perhaps after I sew him on the manniken and throughly dry the fur the white will come out like magic. Kind of the situation with birds after washing I was worried that something was going wrong until I throughly dried the bird. Is this rabbit mount going to be fine to put on the manniken?

When white hair is wet it just doesn't look as white. Snowshoes have a grey underfur too. One it dries it should be nice and white again.
