I did a fox wallhanger last week and put clay in the ears to make them stand up straight and uniform. Well i just thought that i possibly would like to mount it since the ears had no holes in them. Well i dont think i can mount it now cause i got dry critter clay up in the ear. Is there anyway i can get the clay out of the ears. If i did the mount out of it, i would need to split the ears farther to the tip. so i cannot leave the clay in and mount. Can i soak the ears and water and get them flexible and pull the clay out or am i screwed?

is what I would try . Atleast it would rehydrate the ears so you could mount and maybe inject them and card them until dry . Others I am sure will have advice far better than mine as I have only done one fox . Bradlee
