Can krowtann tanned leather be used for durable things such as hats, and can those hats be exposed to moisture at all- such as sweat, or light rain?

That's only the 3rd question you've had on a product you have obviously not a clue about. Didn't any directions come with the stuff? Here's a link from the supplier who's sure I'm just picking on his product.
Click "TANNING".
Scroll down to 1/25/05
Read "HEY GEORGE"
THEN CALL THAT TOLL FREE NUMBER THREE TIMES.

For your information, I am just a beginner. I have mounted one coon with Krowtann, successfully. From everything I hear, it is great stuff. I'm not sure what you were trying to prove from what you forwarded me to, except that maybe youv'e sounded like a jerk more than once on this forum. This forum is for beginners too.

Also, I earlier today had asked about Krowtann's capabilities and was given a positive response. I only had one more thing to ask, thus the name. By the way, directions don't tell you a products' capabilities.

Well, your "beginning" is tedious

Since you didn't POST in the beginners section, how was anyone to know, and with no real name, your credibility already sucks. So you BACK OFF. If you read the front page of this website, it offers you a great avenue for answering your questions. You ignored them. You're using a tan you have absolutely no idea what it's capable of? Even when I was young, bulletproof and a smartass like you, I wouldn't have used something I didn't know anything about. In MY OPINION, Krowtann is the biggest hoax foisted on taxidermy in over 30 years. "Everyone" is using it, no one has a clue about how it works or what it's drawbacks are. Back then, we just called it an "alum tan".

one more thing, George

I just try to get what I can out of these threads. Getting slammed for a question <regardless> is pathetic. I hate not participating sometimes. I have too much to learn and dont need ridiculed. I have had the answer at times too. I pass the opportunity and hope that you guys in your little group step up to the plate. When you do.......... LEAVE YOUR BAT IN THE DUG OUT
