You need to be trying your skin on this for as you go.If the shoulders fit and the head fits then the neck simply tapers from one into the other. If the headform fits the skin perfectly you need to rasp the neck to taper down to the head size.I didn't quite agree with the one inch spread method. When you spread a 20" circumference body 1",the 10" circ. neck only gets spread half that amount. That keeps things proportionate.I do this a lot with bears and they are built similar to coons.Split the body, put a 1" spreader block in the middle and a 1/2" block in the neck. You might have to split the head and spread the back of it 1/2" to match the neck. Now you have a space to fill that is tapered from front to back, just as a coons body is.This makes the gap between the hips more than one inch and that is usually needed. One of the other posts was correct,it's a good idea to do this work and then try the skin for fit before lengthening-you might not need as much as you think. You may also have to expand the legs.If you do,split them the same way, wide at the top down to nothing at the wrist. The skin will tell you how much.Leave the front of the front leg attached and pull the back of the upper front leg rearward.Leave the back of the rear leg attached and pull the front of it forward. After all this, you can hog out a channel on the belly to somewhat fit your limb.Cover the limb with plastic, pour foam in the belly channel, put the form on the limb and screw it down to keep it from rising. When the foam sets up,rasp of the excess. Now your form fits the limb perfectly, just like a real coon's belly would .Good luck.
If you want to get me your Email address,I can send you a photo of a mountain lion form expanded in this way that may make things a lot easier to understand than my long-winded description.Reference it as Form Alteration.
Just remember coon have jaw tufts or ruffs like bobcat, you need that slack to pull the ruffs/tufts up.
