I just finished a snow shoe . The fur is dry but its not fluffing as it should.I washed it severial times and is good and clean . I was thinking about washing it again with some fabbric softner as it seams to work well on other fur .
Does any one have any other tricks?
I want this to poof up .

I use a blower that is used to dry steers for cattle shows. It i sextremely high powered.
It seems like the down is stickin or matted . there is no glue in it.is verry clean just does not fluff up. is there something I can add to a wash solution and redry it ?
I wouldn't wash it anymore. That's a lot of abuse for a delicate animal. You might be expecting a little too much out of it.It probably won't fluff like a fox or a coon.Do you have reference pictures showing snowshoes fluffed more than your mount? You probably will have to be satisfied with what you have.I bet what you have is good.
Ya the reference photos are what i was aiming for . The rabit is white but i cant seem to get the hair to stand up uniformly enough to get the shadows of the inner dark hair to compleatly go away . It realy is bugging me .
After I mount the bunny I take a hair dryer set on cool and blow dry it by going from the tail to the head. Get down deep next to the skin and dry the fur real good. This will fluff up your bunny nicely.
I won't metion about cleaning for I think you did that pretty well for the way you talked.
