Squirrel shoulder mount

Submitted by Sam on 3/9/05 at 9:17 PM. ( ) 207.177.14.30

Does anyone make a shoulder for a squirrel? I can't find one anywhere and I have had a hard time trying to sculpt one. Should I just do a carcass cast of a skull? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Sa,

Why not alter a form..they're cheap enough.

Then what am I going to do with a whole bunch of decapitated $15 forms?

If you want squirrels without bodies, why not squirrels without heads! HAHAHA

Van Dyke's Carries change out heads for squirrel, I think, make your own shoulders from excelsior or foam.
AND you will use the $15 decapitated forms to carve more heads. Or mark up your product enough to absorb the waste.
eBay is loaded with squirrel head mounts on little plaques. If you can't do it well, don't bother. They're as common as jackalopes, but not really as cute. (they need a legend...)

Use the leftovers to carve rocks.

Rocks are simple enough to carve. And then you will have rocks to use for whatever.
