Mink nose color

I searched the archives and found 1 paint schedule for it, it states to use rich brown and then town down with cocoa brown, my referance photos show the mink nose to be a pinkish color, Would this schedule give pinkish results, This is the first mink I have done and so far it has turned out great, I would hate to have the nose color wrong, Any one have a schedule other than the one listed above?

I would paint it a strong flesh color first and then lightly mist your browns over that.Follow your reference picture.I see the same thing you do.The pink definitely shows through. You can't screw it up.If you don't like the results, wipe it off and start over till you get what you like.

jims on it

I just finished a mink and I was able to find 7 diferent noses to look at. All of corse were diferent. I started with a solid coat of flesh color, then lightly misted with cocoa. Finished with a coat of modge podge. turned out great.
