There are few people who will taxidermy a housecat in Ontario...I found a guy who does domestic pets (cats & dogs)and he does a really good job. He used to work for the Canadian Museum of Nature. The business is called "Canada Goose Taxidermy" in Napean Ontario. He (Rick) will carve the armature, if necessary although they have some standard poses available. Charges $500 Cdn for a house cat and it takes 3 to 4 months to do. So, as soon as your pet passes away, put him/her in the freezer. Contact the taxidermist and mail her same day service with courier or on the bus with a couple photos indicating desired pose and showing the appropriate eye color.

Do NOT mark on the parcel that there is a "DEAD CAT" in there! Say it's "art" or a "sculpture". Remember to wrap your cat in a plastic bag --like a large roast-sized zit lock freezerbag. Send the cat frozen solid and make it 'same day' delivery. The guy asks 50% deposit and the balance upon completion--then he mails him/her back to you.
