Bear Feet Pads-on/off?

Do you fellas leave the pads on or off for a rug? I dont see where they will be seen at all so I am ready to cut them off but wanted to ask and see what you all do first. Thanks for the info again

Leave Them On.......

....Until AFTER the tanning is done. After that they're not necessary for a rug. They help keep the feet inside out during the tanning process, protecting the claws from damage during drumming.

As long as you know you won't use them in the finished mount.We have NEVER had a problem with the tannery we use and those pads come back rock hard and twice as hard to remove.
