A few years ago in Wisconsin there were some cases of prairie dogs with the disease. I know humans are susceptible to the disease. Is this disease that rodents may carry a concern to taxidermists who mount squirrels and prairie dogs? What precautions should be taken for this concern of mine besides latex gloves?
