I still havent figured out the correct eye size for a rat. people said anywhere from 4-8 mm but im getting buble eyes, so some ppl said get smaller bubble eyes than you would for normal eyes. anyone ever mounted a rat? I know Amy Ritchie has with great results, but I think my emails get caught in her filter. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry, I have alot of emails getting caught by the filter lately so maybe that is it. The eye size will really depend on the size of the rat. I have used 4mm for rats before, but those were small young ones. I would say a good size for an average rat would be 6mm bubble eyes. The only way to know for sure is to take a pair of calipers and measure the eye of the rat before you skin it.
