Hole in Skunk Skin

When I skinned my skunk, i accendently put a small hole in it, will it get bigger, and how can I fix it, can I sew it up cause I realy don't want the hole there, and I didn't go through all that work just to throw it away exspeacialy when I accendently puntured the one of the little sacks and it sprayed me in the face, good thing I like the smell of skunk.
