To mount a skunk. I have done one and it was not fun but turned out great. I am keeping it. What would you guys charge to do a lifesize for a customer? I was thinking $200.00 what do ya think?

That would make a good deposit

When I do one, it's with a small diorama and it's $400. For $200, I'll tell him how to do it himself and he buys the supplies.

for $200. ...

I wouldnt even think of it. I get $465.with a basic scenery and have done several with no problem. I hate to say it but I agree with George.LOL, the $200 makes a good deposit but the work that is involved is important to consider when pricing. Don't shortchange yourself.

$400

I guess I under estimated the value of this work. But I am a newbee, I have not done anything for money yet.

Eric...
It will be hard to find a taxidermist to do your dog. atleast it is around here in North carolina. I know one that priced a Rotwhiler at $2000.00. Good luck.

Eric, he's right. Few will do pets

Those that do usually charge $400 for animals up to 10 pounds and $100 a pound thereafter. Rottweilers get very expensive.

underestimated again

deer4ager, how in the world can you do a rotweiler for 2000.00. To caste the carcass alone maybe! It's not like you can buy a comercial body, now maybe your talking 2000.00.
