The first time I saw black squirrels was during a dream when I was a child of about five years. In the dream they were running all over a
couch in our living room in North Carolina. Not until I moved to Texas did I see them in real life, in a field near my home in San Antonio. They seem to enjoy sitting and watching the traffic and activity of the neighborhood more than the more prevalent grey squirrels of the area.
