One segment at a time and then you rebuild it going back together.

Hey Alan, You only need to cut the tail in "three" sections(3 rings per section and the tapered tail end).Getting the bone out is tedious. I've always had great success just using a long bit and drilling around the bone to loosen it up.Careful not to go through the tail rings.Then I used a long needle nose plier and knife to help get the bone out.After it's out and cleaned and preserved, simply super glue your sections together when you are ready to mount it.This method came from an article Roger Martin wrote "many" years ago and it helped me tremendously when I was mounting several dillo's.
