You need a form or manikin to put the skin of your fox on. Before that you need to prepare the skin. Before that you need to spend a lot of time and some money to get trained. There are many routes to take to get the training. A good place to start is right here using the orange search and read, read, read. You will find some recommend taxidermy schools while others videos and manuals and others both. Mounting a fox is not rocket science, but there is also a very good reason why professional taxidermists get paid to do it. YOu need the skills and artistic ability first. And never forget that reference materials, photos of live fox and an understanding of their anatomy makes all the difference.

Ruth, click on "Suppliers" at the top of the page, visit WASCO's site, Research Mannikins, McKenzie etc. They all should have videos on how to mount a fox (most other animals to). They are also kind enough to send you a free catalog if you call or e-mail them. You will find several different fox forms, mounting supplies etc. I would strongly suggest getting a good video and watching it several times before you order your supplies (the videos will explain the supplies you will need). Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Ruth , before you do anything with this fox , the most important thing you need is a pair of gloves . Fox carry rabies as do raccoons and skunks . Rick
