I have a 7 foot polar bear to do for a customer. What would you veterans charge? I can figure the base. Done lots of blacks and browns. Thanks for your input.

never done one but seems like you could figure the same as any bear. i charge my bears by the lineal foot vs. a flat price because they vary in size so much. measure and see how long it is and you can figure your tanning price. look up the form, eyes, ect and you will know that cost then just add your labor. open mouth charge more for materials and time. if it needs fleshing and salting again charge more for your time. lots of variables in quoting a job.
in my humble opinion, a 7ft polar bear is a lot harder to handle than a 4 ft black bear, 1)weight is harder to handle 2)some extra precautions are needed to clean blood out dirt etc, 3) when mounting extra care must be taken to keep it nice and clean. all these add up to extra work, and extra time, and you should charge accordingly! i currently charge 100.00\foot more than for a black bear
