Altering a bobcat kitten

I am about to begin mounting a bobcat kitten. I have the form. The length and eye to nose measurements are good but the chest is about 3 inches smaller than the hide. Should i cut the form down the central axis and increase it from within or just add some foam to the outside of the form and rasp? Or both?

Cut the form down the middle.

Look in the McKenzie books, one of them will show you how to add to form size. I would cut it down the middle add a 1/2 block to space the pieces apart, then wrap with Saran Wrap, and foam it. then split down the side and do the same, that will add 2 full inches to the girth.

I like to have an inch or so extra hide to taxi the skin into place.

Thank you Sarah
