deermen, I have used bondo in cat ears but a better choice is apoxie-sculpt, I think. The Apoxie gives much longer work time and you can get the ears nice and thin. As you mount the face you can adjust the ears as needed where with bondo you are just so limited as for changing the attitude of the ears. You will have to babysit the ears a bit longer to be sure the Apoxie doesn't sag and set up but usually by the time I get the cat together the ears are setting up and they don't change when you aren'tlooking. Enjoy, Aaron H.

It's like Bondo apparently.

I always wondered how they (wildlife-artist) got those ears so thin and yet it didn't look or feel like a liner.

Bondo is fine

Bondo is fine, just don't put any fiber fill in it. I like using it because it sets faster. I don't like closing down for the night being unsure of what my animals are doing without my presence, but, well, that's another story. If you can work a deer ear to your liking, you can do bobcat ears the same way, just go light on the hardner if you need a little extra time...and in actuality, less hardner is better because it won't make the bondo to brittle. You can get your ears to do anything you want if you use clay ear butts. I always use Epo-Grip around my ears, skull, face, and seams...which will help set your ears permenanly in about 4 hours. Less time is better.
