You'll need to wash it with a good soap first

Lather it up and tamp it dry with a towel. Then spray Febreeze on it or kill the cat. Either should work well. (Sorry, couldn't help myself.)

I held back George

I held back on the cat joke, but had the same thought on fixing the problem from happening again.

Hang it on the wall

I have restored many rugs that have been urinated on by household pets. Due to the high amounts of uremic acid in cat urine, you should purchase a urinary acidifying cleaning agent from your veterinarian or a pet shop. These products are specifically sold to neutralize the odor and clean up stains on furniture and rugs, etc. from cat urine. Clean the area well with this product. It will not only remove the odor, but remove the acidity that will cause severe damage to the tanned leather. I have re-rugged animal rugs that had actual holes burned into the leather from the acidity of the urine. Not to mention the smell when I took them apart.(My Associate Degree in Animal Husbandry still comes in handy). Next after cleaning, I would highly recommend hanging this skin on the wall, to prevent this from happening again. Trust me it will happen again, as once an animal has marked their territory in such a way, their undomesticated instincts will bring them back to the same spot regulary, even after it is cleaned.
If I can be of any furthur assistance, drop me an e-mail or call.

We had considered killing the cat...That would be too easy though plus he's a good foot warmer on cold winter nights.
