only because I have never done it. I will be working on a comp. mount starting tonight. However my ref. pix for this mount won't be here till Tuesday. Can I store the mount in the freezer (the clay is my concern) till my ref pix get here? Then thaw, and get the corect eye, ear, and mouth anatomy when I have my ref. pictures? Let me know. Many times instead of completing the mount, I'll put the earliners in and build the ear butts inside the hide and store it in the freezer overnight (or over a weekend). I use potter's clay instead of the more expensive Critter Clay on ear butts (I save the good stuff for my eye work) and I've never had a problem with it thawing back out and working it. Critter Clay will work the same way.
I figured so, all it is is clay (watter and dirt). on this mount I will be trying somthing new for the eyes. A product I have had in the shop for some time, it's called Castilene. I have had a small block of this stuff for over a year and had no clue what to do with it. A little birdy told me it works great for eyes, but it needs to be heated up first. DUH! I have tried this stuff on a few rabbits and all I can say is WOW, I like it! Well thanks for the info! Joe
