Legal?

I may be getting an already dead barn owl that got hit by a car. Id say just take it and send it to a taxidermist, but this is Canada and I don't know if thats such a good idea. Is it legal to get already dead barn owls mounted, is it possible to get a permit and if so, how much $ would that be? Remember, this is Canada.
Thanks eh

I don't know anything about Canadian wildlife laws, but I'd sure like to know why you all end your sentences with "eh"

it is rather easy and inexpensive to get a permit to posses the dead owl from your local DNR. However, without the permit, you are wrong.

Joe: I am in Ontario, for us I go to M.N.R. office get a certificate of reporting games with the bird, permit is issued right away ,no charge , then you bring it to a taxidermist , with the permit, you get the permit back when the bird to completed, and you keep the permit on file. This is for Ontario I do about 40 to 50 birds of pray per year. Call your local M.N.R. or D.N.R. office and find out.
