What is the most anatomically accurate, currently marketed, bobcat change-out head, and what is your opinion based on?
This question is primarily for people who've mounted a lot of bobcats that look good - (Travis, Jan VH, the guy that did the bobcatxlynx hybrids)

That is a loaded question. Since you do not know what you like is the way of a bobcat head, you ask someone else.
But does that make it the best one?
How can you say it is the best, where is the standard to judge from?
Who set that standard?
Less say I like Roger Martin bobcat heads, maybe I have been just lucky with the few I have done. BUt someone else had problems with several of the RM forms.
Does that make RM bobcat heads the worst? NO. maybe someone else measured wrong or tried to stretch the skin.
Remember the form is only your starting place. I feel that from reading the complete archives that you should have the form on hand before you skin the animal for lifesize. This way you can make any needed alterations to the form.
Forms as the factory makes them are basic in nature, they should not always dictate the finished product as they are the start of the product.
I'm not on your elite list of bobcat taxidermists, but I did win the Breakthrough Award and Judge's Best of Show in Arizona this year with a bobcat. The taxidermists you listed are all excellent artists, and I respect their work immensely, but you limit the people who will respond to your post by putting the disclaimer:
"This question is primarily for people who've mounted a lot of bobcats that look good - (Travis, Jan VH, the guy that did the bobcatxlynx hybrids)"
In other words, "I won't leave my name or email address, but give me the benefit of your many years of hard work and study, and your bobcats better be good if you respond to my question."
I had a response for your question, but on second thought, go fly a kite.

When are people going to realize the taxidermist is what brings the mount to life! Not the form! (though it doe's help)
I think everyone on this forum respects your work, Jan and Lonny's as well as countless other names!
Honestly... Do you think Jan is a good taxidermist because she makes a good form? She was carcas casting and altering others forms LONG before she marketed her own forms! Joseph R Osborn (Hunter's Dream Taxidermy)
