I had a real good friend's pet PitBull just passed away and he was asking if there was anyway of mounting his pet. Has anyone ever heard of mounting a dog? I have heard of freeze drying the dog but not mounting it. Thank you for any help with issue.

you have three options here, carcass cast, carve the form from a block of foam, or order a coyote form cut the crap out of it and alter it until it fits the dog (gonna need tons of measurements).

Pets are tricky. Even if you do the most outstanding job in the world, the customer is not going to be totally happy with it because you can put the dog's personality into the mount that only the pet owner saw.

If you really want to do this, make sure he pays you upfront (at least 75%)in cash. Check out the rotty we did at www.billingtonranchtaxidermy.com

...of all you need to make a death mask. After making the death mask go ahead and use that to make a mold of the face and cast it, then proceed to make the carcass cast. The face is everything with pets!

I just visited your website and I must say for Georgetown TX you aren't charging enough for the quality of your work. Nice! Very Nice! I live in San Antonio.

Do you workout? You look like you're in great shape. That's meant to be a compliment and not to be taken as a sexist remark. I know how much work and time it takes to keep your body conditioned.

BTW, Great mounts too!
