This will be my first open mouthed piece. My question is how to cut the form for the jawset. Do i just cut out the v and insert the jaws or do i remove the whole lower portion of the jaw on the mannikin. I am really clueless about this.If someone could walk me through this i would appreciate it alot thanks Brian. Also what would be used to create the lips around the jawset.

It does not matter weather you cut the bottom jaw off, or the top. For fox I like the top. I simply saw the form back through the center of the mouth. Them hollow out the mouth and fit the jaw set. When I am satisfied with the possession of the jaws I glue them in place with Bondo. (be sure to sand the back of the Jaw or the bondo will not stick.) then I bondo the head back together.
