bobcat earliner question

Hello there, I am attempting to mount a bobcat for the first time. I have removed the ear cartlidge but I am unsure of the amount of ear butt to remove. Do I just remove enough ear butt to tuck remaining ear into liner? I'm using actual ears liners. I appreciate any advice I can get. Thanks Parley

I remove just enough to tuck them in. Also I tint my ear glue so I'll have less painting later on.
I use pastels for tinting.

Or you can try this

I agree with Frank It works well. I have been doing this for the last yr or so. I now dremmel out the inner ear of the actual ears and leave the ear but as is.
I also recomend just placing the earliner on the form and trace out the shape then, dremmel it out and fill with clay for a good fit . You can recess the actual ears a tiny bit for a good smooth transition. Good Luck!
