My question is does it matter if you take your measurements before the animal is thawed out or are they going to be the same

you will get a mixed bag of answers to this question. i like to take my measurements after the animal is thawed and skinned, i measure the carcass since thats what you are trying to match the form to. i know many people that measure that animal before skinning but to me it seems like your form would be too big that way.
I measure the nose to the base of the tail before skinning out. Then I measure the circumfrence after skinning the critter.
After skinned, for life size work save the carcass until your mannikn is ready to mount. Much easier to alter form if you have some reference.
I would like to thank to all that responded THANKS Randy
