i looked in the archives on this already but im still not sure if its ok to have this old rug around that we are was tanned with arsnic .

In my lifetime, aresenic would have never been used for rug work. Lifesized mammals, maybe, but rugs, no. Maybe Stephen Rogers might have some better info from the history books, but from my personal history it wasn't happening.

...on rare occasion,on very old rugs I have refurbished.It was used in the head mounting process.You wouldn't believe the things I've seen in old rug head mounts. I have done many rugs that were 60 -70years old , that is why George hasn't seen this in his lifetime, as he is only 39ish...right George...LOL
