salting skins

Clint, I skin, remove any big hunks of meat, turn ears, split lips, salt heavily. After 3 or 4 hours (or over night if that's how the day is going), shake off the wet salt and resalt heavily and allow to dry. If you are dealing with very greasy skins like racoon or bear I would salt 3 times. Enjoy, Aaron H.

Out of the sun in a well ventilated area. After the second salting hang it up and let it DRY. If humidity is a problem use a fan or dehumidifyer.

Thank you
