Use the Stout Ruffer

When I have lots of foam to move, I bear down on the stout ruffer. Then I use several sizes and shapes of the Stanley Surfoam tool to finish it off with. The ruffer will cut through quickly and the Surfoam will clean it up.

You will also have to make adjustments to the legs, you will need to thin the legs down to fit as well. Since the form was 9 inches fatter than the hide. it is reasonable that a fatter bear would also have fatter legs. File and sand the legs. put the detail back in with 36 grit sandpaper. It will take some time and work. But can be done.
