That "Dry Tan" is just a dry preservative and will last just as long as any other dry preservative. IMHO the best dp on the market is Bess Maid. You can get it from QTS. Have a good one! Joe

Its all in the archives, But a dry Tan IS NOT a DP as DP is not a TAN. I am just a beginner So I can't explain it. I think a dry will last as long as a wet tan as far as the mount goes. If your talking about storage I think it depends on where you store it. Do so in a dry area and you should be fine. Some here may come on and tell you how some tanneries dry their tans or you can search for the answer by typeing Dry tan vs wet tan by using that search button.

It would help you to get more answers to your questions in the future if you place them in the right category. ie: this should have been on the tanning section, But hey I have done it too and more than likely will do it agian.

Yup, Joey ya got Sr. on that one!

"A Dry Tan" is not the same as "Dry Tan" I should learn to read better! A dry tan will last for quite some time. Some dry tans are better than others. IMHO, tans are best when mounted asap. If it's a flat or a rug, depending how it was tanned will give good indication how long it will last. exe would be Alum vs. EZ-100. The EZ tanned skin will outlast just about all alum tans. Have a good one! Joe
