Is it possible to mount a groundhog using the wrapped body technique? If so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, That is how most things were mounted in the past.

Back before all of the new foam forms were manufactured there was paper mache forms and people wrapped bodies. Fish bodies were even wrapped with excelsior. So to answer your question, yes you can wrap a body for a groundhog.

Yes it's possible.People used to wrap bodies for a lot larger animals than that.Incredible results can be had by someone skilled at it.It's usually more efficient to by a mannikin these days, but for that occasional special piece it's not a bad way to go.People that are good at it can make one surprisingly fast. It's kind of a lost art these days, but there are still a few books around that will tell you how to do it."Practical Taxidermy" by Moyer and "The Jonas Technique" volume two are 2 of them. Also some of the old Leon Pray books are good if you can find them.Keep your carcass on hand for reference. Also think about carcass casting. There are videos by Jan Van Hoessen and Chris Krueger for that.Good luck.
