I did what was told to me in the archives,soaked the cape of my bear
in a salt solution for 30 min and put in a bag and set overnight,
stll it is not soft enough to work with,what should i do?
It was tanned with a presure tanner in aluminum sulfate. was dryed for a week before I could get to it.worried about hair slippage,need
help Gorge anyone?

Sometimes it's not unusuall for that to happen. In such cases you need to do it one more time.
ALso I would a capfull of some type of fabric softner to the water. It makes the water wetter and will help getting the cape soft again for the mounting process.
