choosing the correct bear form

I need some suggestions. I am mounting my first life size bear and can not find a form that is the correct size for the pose I want. I'm reading that it's best to be a couple of inches small. My options seem to be a form with a big neck and shave the form/stretch the skin. Will the other dimensions ( legs& shoulders) be to large also? The other option is really close on every measurement but the body is 6-7inches to small. Last option looks like a form that is close but would need a different head.
What is your opinion of the upright/panting bear mount?
Thanks for the advise, many of the old posts have been a big help to me.

lesser of two evils (least work involved) and just get the mindset that you will have to modify the form - since the key to the look of the mount is the head i always try for the best fit there

Be very careful not to order too long a form.It is very common for skins to measure too long, even after stretching them width-wise.If the form you want has too big a neck,I'd be very suspicious that you are picking too big a form.I trust my skin measurements for body and neck circumference more than the length measurement.Head measurements should be fairly reliable too.I check the catalogs for lengths that are proportionate to my girth measurements and let that influence my choice.I don't often buy forms that need a different size head, but if you are sure that is the case, that would be your simplest solution.I like the Buckeye heads a lot.If you do an upright pose, make sure your skin has great belly hair-the belly will face the viewer.I am partial to the front high poses because they show more of the sides and back.

thanks for the advice

Thanks again, especially the tip about belly hair I had not thought of that. I am considering the upright form because of space limitations I really wouldn't mind the front elevated form.
