The question I have is about any small mammal, but ill use a squirrel for example. This question is for any one who operates a business. For commercial work on a squirrel ,are most mounted on a rigid form(Ellzey's for example or John Belluci forms) or are there some who hand wrap their forms? My reason for asking is that I just watched a John Belluci video on squirrel taxidermy, where he used a body form but then wrapped his own legs. How often is this done in commercial taxidermy? What is the price difference for the client between the two methods? On the average how often is there a demand for a hand wrapped custom form for commercial work vs. a competition piece?
Thank you for your answers.

is just use commercial bodies. Most people around here won't spend $125 on a squirrel. That's my price. So I don't do alot of squirrels. To wrap one for something special, I'd add maybe $75. Depending on pose, difficulty, etc.
Same here. I get $150 but I still like Marcus Zimmerman's response when asked that at the world show. "$350". I doubt Marcus does many squirrels and I think that was his intent. LOL
I am actually higher priced then you. $175 is my price. But then we all know I am SUPER. LOL
Where you live in Texas you don't even have trees and 13 line ground squirrels and pocket gophers rule the day. You could charge $250 and get the same number of them in your shop. We actually HAVE squirrels here. LMAO.
I'm only part time (for now), so I'll take on most anything someone throws at me. I've done work for my boss at my other job, a couple of "rump" mounts for grins, and a wild boar. As much as I'm hoping to get his work (hunts Africa alot), when he asked me how much I would charge for his grandson's squirrel, I told him I would purposely "overcharge" him. His first response was "Guess you don't like doing squirrels". I told him he was right, LOL! I explained that I hate working on those tiny little feet, but would be willing to do so, for a hefty fee. He understood, and said no problem at all.., and hopes he gets a big whitetail this year for me to mount. Guess honesty is the best policy.,,
