I've been doing taxidemy for about three and a half years now, I've mounted numerous deer but never had any interest in bears, even turned down a few. My step brother took one this fall well guess what! My fleshing, turning and pickling all went like clockwork but I'm havin trouble with the cartilage in the septum and was thinking about going with an artificail nose. Any oppinions on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'm no good at transitioning them and I like the real thing. If you're not comfortable with that, however, by all means use the fakes.
But check with McKenzie on there forms. Their newer ones and I believe some of the older redsigned one has a nose on them that will let you know where to cut them off for a replacement.
Otherwise like George I rather use the real nose. But you need reference to see how it's shaped.
thanks guys appreciate your input
