I have a red fox that I bought from a taxidermist that he skinned and salted. Everything was turned and split and he says it is ready to be tanned. Everything I've ever mounted was with DP which I've never had any issues with. Rather then sending it away for 3 months or trying to tan it myself, is there a way I can just rehydrate it then use the DP? If so, how long would you typically rehydrate for and what type of solution (water, water and salt, etc.). Any other steps?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I'm pretty sure you can't DP something that has been salted. Seems like I read that somewhere on this website.
I guess you COULD if you rehydrated the fox, but seldom can you actually "wash" the salt out. DP is intended for treating raw/green hides.
