I tanned a cat and the feet are bad. Slippiage, smell, ect. Can I just replace the feet? This was big cat with lots of color. I'd really like to try and save this mount. Its in the freezer at this time, waiting for suggestions.

It's fairly easy to put new feet on if you are carefull to sew neatly. The hardest part will be finding feet that match.Often the feet don't have as many markings as the rest of the cat and you only have to match the feet,so I think it's worth a try.

Did you skin out the feet on the cat? You need to skin them out to the last joint. If you didn't do this, that caused your problems. It's a lesson learned and a costly one. But heck most of us went through some of these problems and worked through it. Good luck
