I looked for a long time in the archives and can't find the exact answer. I'm getting ready to mount my squirrel today. After I set the eyes and when I rebuild the eyelids with clay, do I put a small ring of clay on the outer edge of the form's eye cavity or do I place the clay ring directly around the eye on the inner edge of the form's eye cavity?
Thanks for your help

are using the glas bubble eyes you will need to hollow out the eye cavity so that the eye is at the right depth. Then I put a small amount of clay in the cavity first to secure the eye then I put a ring of clay around the eye and mould it to a natural look. I personally do not split squirrel eye lids for tucking and I have not have any trouble. Good luck.
I bought the WASCO kit that comes with (I'm not sure which) glass eyes but not the bubble eyes.
