i have purchased a red fox that when it arrives will have been skinned and re-frozen . Will I run into any major problems since it has ben frozen , thaughed ,(skinned) frozen and thaughed again when i get to mounting? This being my first fox ,the prepping process I'm sure won't be quick . I'm thinking of using krowtan instead of DP's only to help with slippage.I've read alot of info posted in the search area and just wanted to ask about the freezing part . From what i've read foxes tend to slip. After trapping for years and skinning, fleshing and stretching, we never had problems with hair loss.
Thanks for any help Leo

I soak the foxes I do in a 50\50 mix of Denatured alcohol and water for 30mins or so. This helps with the hair slipping problem. Just remember not to store the mix or take the fox out and hang it next to an open flame.
