Gentlemen, I believe that world record belongs in Canada to Douglas E. Schuk who shot his 223lb. cougar in 1979 at Tatlayoko Lake, B.C.
Unofficially I could take that record in the first week of February of this year because I have shot a Tom 8 foot from nose to tail, 225 1/5lb. With a green score so far of 16 8/16 on the skull. Happy hunting. Joe

Gentlemen, I believe the current record belongs to Douglas E. Schuk of Canada. He shot his cougar at Tatlayoko Lake, British Columbia in 1979 with a score of 16 4/16. However in the first week of February I myself may take that record with a cougar I shot in Alberta, Canada in 2005. It is 8 feet from nose to tail, weighing 225 1/2lbs. and a green score of 16 8/16. Happy hunting from the Great White North.
