will a 20 guage with 8 shot work good for mounting a squirrel.

I would suggest that you not point a shotgun(any guage or shot size) at the taxidermist while he is mounting you squirrel. So your answer is NO! It is not a good practice to stand over a taxidermist with a shot gun. Hope this answers your question...... Im glad the kids will be back in school monday! This forum has been full of...well,you know what I mean...this weekend!

Andy, Sure, the 20 gauge is fine. If you end up with too many holes or a short tail just hunt up another and skin and eat the first one. Enjoy, Aaron H.
