Saturday evening me and my husband caught a black coyote pup he looks to be about 5 or 6 weeks old he poor. He is pitch black with a white chest and just a few on his chin. when he stands up his front chest stands higher than his rear. He walks on his toes not at all like a dog.I intend on taking him to a vet today to see what he thinks and to get his puppy shots and perhaps he can let me know if theres any dos are dont's to raising him that different from domesticate dogs.Because I have searched on the web anything about a black coyote pup and yaw were the only ones that really was reading.Most sites only talk about trapping them.And don't get me wrong when i walk outside at night and here them I agree their population needs to come down.

That's an interesting find. I've heard of people keeping coyotes and they acted just like dogs. But they have to be well trained. Remember, a coyote is a "wild" animal and without proper training, could seriously hurt someone in it's later years. Is it a female or male? Also, most states require that you have special permits to keep wild animals as livestock or pets.
Coyotes don't have pups that young this time of year. They are just starting there mateing season right now. Sorry
