questions about bobcat and competition

Submitted by J Randall on 1/5/06 at 10:46 PM. ( )

I have a bobcat that I called in and harvested this season, this is the best cat I have gotten (really big mature tom) and I wanted to mount him up and maybe enter him in competition which would be a first for me the only deal is the cat had been in a fight or something that had left him with a few scars on his face and his right ear was half gone like it had been bitten off. All of this damage has long healed and scarred so I elected to mount him like he is as to show the true character of the cat but would these "defects" hurt me in competition?
Thanks in advance for any advise on this matter

Flaws in the animal should never hurt you in competition. If you repair the problems, the repair can hurt you if you do a poor job, but scars and such shouldn't hurt you.

Thank you James
