Carving foam (what type)

A while back I read an article in Breakthrough (by George) where Ken Walker carved a lifesize bear form. Was the foam he used the Dow blue billets? What density? I dont recall if he used the foam for the body or if he used two part. Thanks.

Yes it was the dow billets. If a body is really big(Irish Elk)I will sometimes use 2-part foam to foam scraps together. If you run into problems call me at my above posted number.

Thank you Ken

I will probably need some advice in a couple weeks when I get the foam. I made a clay model that portrays a ton of motion-- hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew. Thanks again.

I hear they changed the formula again!

I haven't picked up any billets in a year or two, but I guess the newer stuff is less dense than it was two years ago...
